VANTeC, SA, was founded in 1991, having 25 years of experience in the markets where it operates. It began its activity by integrating computer graphics and image processing solutions, and worked, since its beginning, with the leading manufacturers of those days such as NeXT, SGI, Parallax or Alias.
Throughout the years, the company acquired a vast experience in the areas of Real-time Graphics, either for Sports, News or Entertainment, with solutions for Virtual Set Systems and Augmented Reality, Camera Tracking, Motion Capture and Camera Robotics. Besides these areas, VANTeC also has an extensive know-how in selling solutions for post-production, including editing, special effects and 3D modelling and animation.

In straight connection with Datos Media Technologies VANTeC owns great experience in integration, installation, training and maintenance, in all file based workflow market for production and post-production, including archiving, MAM/PAM, centralised storage, news room and audiovisual content delivery.

With a centralised Gfx infra-structure SIC produces all the graphics templates for all areas using same workflow and same tools. That means any graphics element including lower 3rd, graphics for LED walls, full screen graphics, virtual set or augmented reality are created with same tools and same workflow using same playout tool. These workflow provides to a massive Graphics Systems including 48 Powerwall channels to fill big LED Walls, 10 channels for AR and Virtual with full camera movement freedom, 14 videographics channels and 6 graphics channels, all over a centralised infra-structure, serving 3 news studios. Virtual Studio Consulting Project: Consulting project for TV3 (TV Cataluña, Barcelona) in the creation of their 5th virtual studio to produce national news and 24/7 news channel. The studio is a combination of Real and Virtual sets, and has become the world’s biggest infrared virtual studio. The studio is composed of 7 studio cameras (3 of which are robotic cameras) and 1 crane, all of them with complete free camera movement.

Video signals’ transport through IP is no longer a concept from the future, but increasingly more, the present. That is why VANTeC wants to remain at the forefront of tech evolution and celebrated another important partnership with a long-time supplier of end-to-end solutions for Broadcasters, Production Companies and TELCOs: IEC Sienna/Gallery.Currently with a strong focus on IP workflows, especially NDI, the SIENNA ND platform enables to simplify and streamline all the video production, contribution, and distribution chain processes, in a modular way, adaptable to each entity’s needs and with much lower costs than a traditional SDI structure.
GMTS incorporated in its OB-vans two new recording systems supplied by VANTeC, from the manufacturers MOG Technologies and SimplyLive.
With MOG systems, which allow a mixed set of operations - File Ingest, Baseband Ingest, Transcode, Playback - up to 4 operations simultaneously, the intention was to ensure more flexibility in the recording of signals on external discs for later editing or transmission , on any HD codec currently available on the market.
Regarding Simplylive systems, the objective was to acquire the contents directly from the video signal to USB connection units (namely Pen Drives) in the H264 display format.
SIC hired VANTeC to integrate into its television content archive system, the ALTO solution, from DAC - Disk Archive Corporation, thus replacing the current robotic solution with LTO tapes.
The ALTO solution will have an initial capacity of 1.2PB, distributed on 16TB disks, being distributed by two redundant instances. This way total security is ensured, and its capacity can be expanded at any time without the need to migrate the contents.
